Many thanks to Jeffrey Wilson, MD, for joining me on this episode of "The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner."

Jeffrey Wilson is perhaps best known as the best-selling author, along with Brian Andrews, of the Tier 1 and Sons of Valor thrillers. His eclectic background includes work as an actor, firefighter, paramedic, jet pilot, diving instructor, Navy Officer, and vascular and trauma surgeon.

During our 30-minute discussion, Jeff explained how he has had a lifelong passion for writing. He published his first short story as a teenager, and his connection with writing has traveled with him throughout his varied careers. We also discussed how locum tenens facilitated his transition from combat surgeon to full-time writer and filmmaker. Jeff is the author of 27 books, with more on the way.
